Accessibility statement

Our commitment to an accessible website and portal, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Last updated: October 8, 2026JBW Investments, Inc., doing business as Fanout Studio

The short version

  • We want everyone to be able to use Fanout Studio, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
  • If something gets in your way, email hello@fanoutstudio.com. We'll respond within 5 business days.

Our commitment

Fanout Studio is committed to making fanoutstudio.com and our private client portals usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we do

  • We build pages with semantic HTML: real headings, lists, tables and buttons, with landmarks (header, main content and footer) so assistive technology can navigate them.
  • Every page has a "Skip to content" link, and everything can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives. In our example pack, each carousel slide and Stories frame has alt text containing the full text of the slide.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text and announced to screen readers.
  • Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels, without sideways scrolling of the page.
  • Animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
  • We test our pages with the axe-core automated accessibility checker at desktop and mobile widths, and check keyboard navigation by hand.

Known limitations

We know about these issues and are working on them:

  • Client portals are newer than our website and have had less testing. Some controls may not yet be fully described to screen readers.
  • Carousel PDFs that you can download from the portal are images of slides and aren't tagged for screen readers. The same text is available as plain text in the portal.
  • Visuals we make for your posts come from your article's photos. Writing alt text when you publish them is up to you, and we're happy to suggest it.
  • Third-party services such as Buffer, Stripe and the social platforms are outside our control. We can't guarantee their accessibility.

Our assessment is a self-evaluation. We haven't yet had an independent audit.

Report a barrier or ask for another format

If you have trouble using any part of Fanout Studio, or need information in a different format (for example, a sample pack or these legal pages as plain text in an email), please tell us:

  • Email hello@fanoutstudio.com with "Accessibility" in the subject.
  • Tell us the page or link, what you were trying to do, and, if you're comfortable sharing it, the browser and assistive technology you use.

We'll respond within 5 business days with a fix, a workaround, or a plan and timeline. If we can't fix something right away, we'll help you get what you need another way.
